[align=center]The year is 2018, 20 years after the graduation of the Trio, Draco, Pansy, and etc. 20 years ago, things were different. Very different. For starters, Severus Snape had gotten away with murder. The Ministry actually thought he was an 'order spy' and let him off the hook because of the Unbreakable Vow he made with Narcissa Malfoy to protect her son. Not to mention Draco was pardoned and wasn't held accountable for his actions. Of course, this quite displeased a lot of members within the Wizarding community. But no one could prove that Severus or Draco was actually guilty or should be held accountable for their actions and so they were never thrown into Azkaban. People were more suspicious of the returned Potions Master and Slytherin Head of House than ever, but he never did anything suspicious. Not that he would be unintelligent enough to jeopardize his position so that he could end up in a cell in Azkaban.
Harry graduated along with his classmates with very high marks in every class but Potions. In Potions he recieved an 'A'. However, he had achieved the minimum there for required results on N.E.W.T.'s. He went on to become an Auror with Ron, while Hermione surprised them all and joined the Ministry. She, however, insisted that they needed to have someone in the Ministry that wasn't a pawn or tool of the Death Eaters. So she would be the one to do it. Shortly after making their 'dream' jobs, the Trio were all married. Ron and Hermione married, and to everyone's surprise Harry married Luna. Ginny was not pleased, a year later she married Seamus Finnigan in retaliation. He had been one of the boys who thought Harry was a nutter in their sixth year and she wanted to rub it in his face since he broke up with her, telling her it wasn't safe, only to get married to Luna! While Luna was one of her friends, she couldn't really quite see what she had that she didn't have.
However, fourteen years ago the Aurors were called out because the Death Eaters were on a rampage. Muggle borns and Order Members along with Ministry Officials were being killed left and right. Whichever happened to get into the Death Eaters way, they were killed. The Death Eaters showed no mercy, it was evident that they wanted control over the Wizarding World like they had after the first war. However, the Ministry wasn't going to give into them no matter how much of a pawn they were. The fights esculated until one culminated where even Lord Voldemort was involved. This resulted in one of the biggest losses in the Wizarding World: the death of Harry Potter. The Dark Lord had defeated The-Boy-Who-Lived and it seemed that all the hope and light in the world went out with Harry's death. Harry's death wasn't the only loss in the second war. Other losses included Gregory Goyle, Evan Rosier, Jr., Diana Lestrange nee Yaxley, Rita Skeeter, Lorcan D'Eath, Fluer Weasley nee Delacour, Victoria Weasley nee Frobisher, Oliver Wood, Parvati Thomas nee Patil, and Su Entwhistle nee Li.
The sting is still particularly sharp, six years after Harry's death. Ron and Hermione vow to find the rest of the Horcruxes and destroy Voldemort, while the Ministry and Order seem at a loss as to what to do. Many of the Death Eaters claim to be 'reformed' and go on with their daily lives, some of them not even being found out. The Ministry is trying to piece back the Wizarding World as best as they can and things go on pretty much as if they were normal. However, Voldemort is plotting and planning. He wants to gain control of the Wizarding World once more, but after the loss of the second war he is waiting for the opertune moment to strike. He won't risk another loss, it was particularly embarrassing to him that he lost the second war to begin with.
Life goes on, although it's harder for some than others. The death eaters live their lives with ease and pleasure, the Order Members count their losses and mourn the death of Harry, and the Ministry...when has the Ministry had a clue as to what was going on? Children go to school, Death Eaters plot with their evil Lord, Order Members try to figure out what's going on, and the Ministry marches blindly on. What will happen to the Wizarding world?
