Jase was sitting in the dungeon, cross legged, his head bowed, his eyes closed immersed in his own thoughts. He was not the kind of person that regularly haunted dungeons, or at least he did not like to think that he was, but it was the best place to go to get away from all of that and all of them. He needed to get away from it sometimes, he couldn't always be the smiling joker, the prankster who's sole purpose was to think of plans and make others laugh. He needed to get away from everyone elses' perception of him, which was why he came to the dungeon. He didn't come alone, Davey was always with him, that nagging voice that raised the hairs on his spine. He never told anyone about Davey now, they wouldn't understand, but it was almost a comfort to have his old friend around, even if it was a twisted, evil version of Davey, he was still there, he was still the only guy he could ever talk to. "I dunno, maybe he's not even there, maybe he's just like my alter ego, maybe I'm going insane. Davey always used to say I was a schitzophreniac," he whispered into a park corner of the dungeon. He talked to darkness frequently now, the eerie thing was, he often got a reply. "There's nothing wrong with being mental Jase. Come, drink from the same well of madness as me and we'll be able to see on the same level," the voice replied. Reassuring because it was familiar. "You're not mental, Davey, kid, you're just kind of dead," he replied, and lapsed into silence again seeing nothing but the inside of his eyelids.

"Ah, Damn it!" Casimir cursed as he hit himself against the dungeon wall. He stumbled onto the ground and hit himself on the marble floor. It hurt now as he rubbud his head in pain as it ached terribly now. Oh, how he hated being blind. He never knew where he was going, where to turn and who was there. there was always this shadow of anxiety that lurked at the back of his mind, shadowing his every thought. It was indeed terrible and this shadow he could hardly avoid. It was always there.
Getting to his feet, he searched for his top hat which had fallen to the ground. Sightlessly, he felt around before feeling the soft materiel before his fingers. Reaching out for it, he placed it upon his head carefully and took his ivory cane that his cousin twice removed had bought him from Hungry. He was also wearing this old victorian suit which he had thought to have lost. People said it suited him, with his top hat and taking there advise he wore it and admired it blindly. It was a lovely cane, though, as it was made out of white ivory and the handle was made out of gold. He had not been able to see it but when his cousin had brought it to him, she had explained it. He was, hence, utterly grateful as this white cane as it indicated how he was blind. Disabled.
And, so , Casimir began to walk down the dungeon, humming to himself slightly, a sound that sounded oddly like a nursery rhyme which he had learnt so long ago. Here, though he was hoping that he'd eventually bump into some one that could lead him out of this place, as he walked around blindly in this maze of mystery.

Hearing someone coming in his direction, Jase retreated into the shadows, shrinking away out of sight. He did not mind being reprimanded for breaking rules, he was use to it, but he wanted to avoid being caught donw here at this time of night. He didn't want the teachers prying into his problems. They knew he and Davey had been close, they knew his death had affected him more than he let on, but he didn't want to give them any reason to worry about his emotional state in case they decided he needed counseling or something, put him on prozac and classify him as a kid with "emotional problems."

Tripping over more steps, Casimir fell right on his face, his hat falling of again. "Why are there so many steps?" he grumbled to himself as he blindly got to his knees and rubbed his head in pain. This was the second time he had fallen and now it was beginning to hurt slightly. Reaching out, he felt around for his hat once more, feeling to cold floor under his fingers. However he suddenly came across something warm and skin-like and so thus he realized how he was touching a face. His blind eyes widened before yelping and jumping back, stumbling back and hitting his head once more against the wall. "damn it!" he cried louder this time as he felt the pain come back.

"It's me Cas, Jase," Jase said softly, coming to his friend's side and helping him gently up. "Are you hur badly?" he asked warily, hoping that he had not caused him yet more pain. He handed him his hat that had fallen to the ground, and placed it lightly on his head.

"Oh ello," Casimir mumbled and got up, yet calmly leaning against the cold wall with Jase's help and sighed. "Thanks," he said and smiled gratefully and sighed. "So...how are you? And what are you doing in the dungeons right now? We are in the dungeons aren't we?" he asked, looking around, expecting to see something but instead, depite his will, he only saw this bleak blackness.

"Yeah, the dungeons it is. I just wanted to get away from, you know, all that stuff," Jase replied in a low murmurr, looking at Casimir intently, realising that he would no longer be able to catch his eye, he wouldn't even know when Jase was looking at him, it was almost too much to bear. But Jase did not leave him, he had done enough damage already.

Casimir's eyes lowered silently as he felt Jase's eyes upon him, yet he could not look up to meet his eyes. Besides now it felt he didn't even have eyes. Shivering in the coldness he folded his arms and looked up, his brow furrowed. "You smoke, don't you? Well, then, can i have a ciggarette?" he said softly, turning to look at Jase carefully, his hair falling in front of his eyes.

Jase was caught off guard by the question and stammered an answer. "It's bad for your health. Smoking kills," he said, his hand wavering above his pocket where he kept the cigarettes nonetheless.

"Well that's rich coming from you," he muttured and held out his hand. "Now, please can i have one?" he asked. "I'm serious about this. I'm depressed. Very depressed," his voice suddenly became louder, somewhat like a cry. "i'm a depressed bastard!" he cried out and broke into a manic laughter as all his words were poisoned by the truth. Yet thus he still waited for the ciggarette. "You could atleast had me one," he mumbled, his voice dropping low.

Reluctantly, Jase placed a ready lit cigarette in Casimir's hand, pressing on Casimir's fingers so he wouldn't drop it. "There, it won't help though," he said softly, wishing he could turn back time and stop all this from happening. On thinking about it, he realised that if he hadn't burned down the foresxt, Casimir would still have his sight, but on the other side, Cat would probably be dead.

Cas brought the ciggarette to his lips and sucked it in, inhaling the smoke calmly. He then felt his limbs and mind relaxed making it slightly fogged up. He suddenly relaxed and surprisingly light-headed. "Thanks," he said and breathed out the smoke. "Yeah, i know its bad for my health....but i've got nothing else," he said and shurgged, before turning to eye Jase carefully, his blind eyes darting to and fro. He knew how guilty he saw, guilt always tormenting his thoughts. "You know, i forgive you for what you did to me. Because its my fault that i got lost now yours. Eventhough you lit up the forest it was still my idea. i joined it. Why i'm like this is my fault not yours. I understand that but you shouldn't be guilty for my act. Besides, if we had not burnt now the forest Cat would be dead. i would prefer to not have my sight then see cat dead," he said and leant forward to place a hand on Jase's shoulder, smiling slightly. "Dude, don't worry," he said and smiled before once more bringing the ciggarette back up to his mouth.

Overwhelmed with emotion and the forgiveness he knew he could never quite deserve, Jase hugged Casimir, wraping his arms around his shoulders awkwardly, pressing his cheek against Cas'. He wasn't much good at conveying his emotions, but he just wanted to show Casimir how sorry he was. Breathing in the smell of smoke and Casimir's moth eaten suit, he felt as if maybe in time it would get better, and both their wounds would heal.

"Dude you're so gay," Casimir mumbled, putting his ciggarette to his mouth and breathing out the smoke as Jase hugged him. It felt awkward. Very awkward to be in the arms of another guy. Turnng to look in Jase's direction he stumbled forward slightly and found his lips upon Jase's. Dropping his ciggarette he ducked down moving away slightly and felt it aound. "Shit," he muttured yet let the ciggarette go. Thrusting his head back up quickly, once more he found his lips on Jase's. By "mistake" of course.

Jase stumbled back away from Cas, his hand over his mouth in disbelief. "Who's the gay one now?" he said with a nervous laugh, not entirely sure whether Cas had kissed him by mistake or not. He retreated into the shadows, despite the fact Casimir couldn't see him anyway, he felt too embarrassed to look at him directly.
